Music

Pupils experience a wide variety of musical activities. They perform vocally and with percussion instruments in creative workshop activities. They learn to compose and listen to music. Each child has the opportunity to learn to play an instrument when they reach the juniors. Music is used to support dramatic productions and special services. Children enjoy listening to music by different composers from different times and cultures. Specialist music teachers deliver brass, violin, cello and guitar tuition to groups of Key Stage 1 and 2 pupils weekly. We invite musicians from different cultures into school to broaden the children’s experiences.
