We are a Forest School and love learning outdoors. Forest Days are an exciting opportunity for Bassenthwaite School children to venture out into their amazing surroundings and participate in different cross curricular learning activities throughout the year.
Children interact with their local, natural habitat and follow the changes throughout the seasons using creative, imaginative, investigative, experimental, explorative and reflective skills.
Opportunities for whole class, small group or individual work are provided which allows inter-personal skills and a team work ethos to be developed in the youngest EYFS child to the oldest Year 6 child.
All sessions have a fun element to them and children look forward to the sessions whatever the weather!
